Finding my Feet

That’s right; I’m getting big.  I’m five months old, weigh in at 18 pounds, I’m starting to sit up, I love cruising around (and breaking funky beats) in my DJ Walker, and I’m discovering that I have feet growing off the end of my rather large legs.

Oh, and thanks, Grandad, for my sweeeeeeet hat!

One more thing:  I have lightning fast hands!  Check back for updates!

Hangin’ with Mom

Dad’s cool and all, but it doesn’t get any better than chillaxin’ with my Mom!

So I’m wiggly; what’s it to you?

Stay tuned; I’m getting big and I’m taking sweeter pictures every day!

Hangin’ with Dad

Dad, interrupting my nap; I can’t believe I still hang out with this guy.

I mean, seriously.  Find something better to do.

Getting Around

Man!  What a wild ride this is!

From the hospital to the house, to the pediatrician, back to the hospital to redo bloodwork (but why?!), back home, back to the pediatrician, etcetera, ad nauseum, I barely have enough time to mosey over to my tiny little keyboard and hammer out a post!  Good news, though, folks:  my little body is growing.  I am 14 days old today, and was over 9 pounds this morning, at 23 inches long, and, oh, I gained an inch in circumference on my head (now at 15 inches).  I need a large melon to contain this brain; I’ve been reading Ludwig von Mises and Voltaire lately, and that can get a bit exhausting.

Well, I’m having a bit of trouble keeping this large head of mine elevated long enough to get this post out, so let me wrap it up… my eyelids are heavy and it’s time for a nap.  It’s the same look my parents have these days, for some reason…

Toodles!

Welcome to my World!

Hi, folks!  This is my first post, and please, forgive me for just now writing, but I am after all only 11 days old.  As you can tell by the name of my site, my name is Nate Thornton.  I was born at 4:41 am on March 20, 2009, the first day of Spring.  My full name is Nathaniel Reed Thornton, with great meaning:  Nathaniel means “Gift from God;” and Reed, a nod to my godmother, also means “Ruddy.”  As you can tell from my pictures, I am both of these things.

Me, chillin’ in my swing:  img_94162

I’m starting to think Dad’s a member of the Paparazzi:img_9442

Fist up for my peeps:  img_9455

Who am I, really though?  Well, my Mom thinks I’m strong, and my Dad thinks I’m brilliant.  OK, I admit it I am both of those things… and so much more!  I hope to show you more of who I am and all of my interests in the days, weeks, months and years to come.  Until then, adieu, and enjoy!

Regards, Nate
